Rivolgi indietro lo sguardo,
Fruga sfrenato ogni ricordo.
Freddo. Fioco. Scarno. Nullo.
Così, se potessi, immagineresti il mondo senza te,
Come una fiaccola continuamente scossa dal vento.
 
E invece non è così: la luce è spenta, il mondo è nero.
 
Una margine più sottile d'un filo separa felicità e dolore, amore ed orrore.
Una passione ti ha dato la vita, un'altra la trascina via.
E così hai sprecato un altr'anno di vita.
Ma in fondo lo spreco è piacere:
fermarlo è come impedire alle stelle di brillare.
 
Capiscono che sia la fine e la causa di quella, ma la goduria del loro splendore è di maggior diletto, che l'astensione.
 
Qual sia la tua paura, vivi senza divieto...
Brucia piccolo astro, e non voltarti indietro.
